I have just upgraded my R93 to R8 pro and am now trying to fit a picatinny rail to the forend of my professional stock so I can run my Atlas bipod. Has anyone done this already? Any words of wisdom?
Consider making the rail easily removed, so when the bipod is not needed and you’re shooting heavy recoiling cartridges, the rail does not shred your hand.
Good point Dave! Thanks!
The R8 Professional has a pre-molded in spot to drill for the instillation of a second sling swivel stud. Several companies make picatinny rail’s that mount securely right to the stud. That might be the best option.
Thanks I will check it out.
