Have a Blaser R93 not firing at all. Suspect it is something to do with the bolt particularly the extractor not engaging and getting in the way.
Configuration: Hunter synthetic stock, 223 heavy fluted barrel. Attempting to shoot Remington factory .55gr ballistic tips.
In the field sniping rabbits fired 4 shots wonderfully then it stopped firing and many attempts could not get it to fire a single shot from then.
Cartridge seems to feed fine, action seems to close fine (but daylight can just be seen between the barrel and the bolt when looking across the rifle – maybe 1mm) and trigger pulls and fires – but no bang! Cartridge does not eject but simply falls out of the chamber when the barrel is held vertical. The cap in the cartridge has net been hit with any force – no obvious dent.
loading cartridges to the front or the back of the internal clip
having a full magazine, only one cartridge in the magazine, hand feeding the cartridge straight into the chamber
took the bolt out and reinserted. There may be small dents in the extractor
closing the action firmly and other times very softly
Something similar happened before with erratic and unreliable firing. Had it serviced by the Blaser representative in Australia who could not replicate the problem!! But as lost confidence in the rifle have not really used it since then. So if have fired it at all since it was looked at a few years ago it would only have been a couple of test shots at most.
