Aleko Jensen at Heritage Arms, http://www.heritagearms.net/ offers a service for those of us who want or need a lower scope mounting option than the current Blaser factory mounts. Contact Aleko for pricing and turnaround times.

K-95

My new K-95 Stutzen is here, it is an unusual variation in that it has no cheek piece making it an ambidextrous stocked version. The current caliber is 243 Winchester and I have ordered a 6.5x55 Swedish barrel for it. I may sell off the 243 Winchester barrel eventually, but have not made that decision as of yet. At five and a half pounds “clean” and well under seven pounds wearing it’s Schmidt & Bender 6x42mm scope and Blaser mounts, it’s will make a very light “mountain” rifle.

LVshooter’s Spring Loaded Steel targets.

The title says it all, but to quote Kurt Stone:These targets are made from 1/2" AR 500 steel and were made to be shot with center fire rifles. When shot, they go down and spring back up. When freshly painted, you can see your hits from several hundred yards away. We use them in our local rifle matches and have shot thousands of rounds at them and have never had one break. They have been tested with .300 Win Mags’ at 200 yards and did fine. I even shot one with some .50 BMG incendiary rounds at 700 yards and it did fine. These targets come apart for easy storage and the spring tension is adjustable. Target #1 is $155.00, #2 is $145.00, and #3 is $130.00 + shipping”

I have been using one of Kurt’s #3’s and it’s holding up great to everything I have shot it with, from the 204 Ruger to my 338WinMag.

Final Notes

I hear that the 400H&H project is coming along fine, and hopefully we will see an R93 rimfire conversion in both 22LR and 17HRM soon. Not to mention the 204 Ruger being offered in some form for both the K-95 and the R93, hopefully with a 1:9 twist barrel so it can handle bullets heavier than 40gr.
