This trophy Sable was taken by Eric Ching with his R93 Blaser Synthetic with 9.3x62 barrel, 286-grain Nosler Partitions at 2335 fps, and fitted with a Leupold 1.5-5X Vari-X III set at 3X in a Blaser QD mount. Eric, was a contributor to this web site, was also the inventor of the Ching Sling and Safari Ching Sling, a noted author, and Scout Rifle authority. Unfortunately, we lost Eric on July 28, 2007, after a courageous fight with cancer. He was a great shooter, writer and as his wife Rita said, a man who lived his life with great dignity and faced death the same way. I feel blessed to have had the chance to call him my friend.

Capt. Mike Trenholm, Chief Pilot, Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, with the new #6 RSA Impala. Mike used his Blaser R93 Offroad in 6.5x55mm shooting Lapua Mega 155gr. bullets on this Impala and a Warthog. His wife, Carol, also took a 25"+ Impala with this gun. Mike shoots left handed and Carol shoots right, they swap bolts in the field to utilize the same rifle.
