We all travel, many of us a lot and inevitably by car or truck. As Blaser shooters, we tend to like the best. We also tend to always be prepared to be a part of the solution and not part of the problem.

Every Blaser shooter I know has an emergency kit in his vehicle. It might be as simple as a blow out bag with a first aid kit and some bottled water or as elaborate as a "walking home" bag with a rifle and three or more days of provisions and outdoor gear.

Central Missouri Machine Gun Company (CMMG) has two products we all should consider adding to our vehicles kits. One is Tactical Bacon and the other is their new Tactical Sammich. Produced by Bigford in California for CMMG, the Tactical Sammich is a 3.5 ounce, 300 calorie quick serve meal that has a two year shelf life at 80 degrees Fahrenheit. It is packed in a 6"x7.5" MRE type brown Mylar and foil wrapper and is ready to eat right out of the package. CMMG offers both Honey Barbecued Beef and Pepperoni options. I tried the Honey BBQ and it is slightly better than most other MRE type meals. Priced at just under $6.00, they are very economical.

I would suggest one for every full MRE type meal you might have in your kit. Most MRE's have about 1150-1200 calories. The Tactical Sammich would add another 300, effectively meeting a full day's food requirement. The Tactical Sammich would be a good addition for your car, truck or offroad emergency kit.
